How can we help?
HAIR APPOINTMENTS & HAIR CARE
+ I’m not sure if I want to color my hair, I just have some specific questions, can I just schedule a consultation?
Yes! In fact, I highly encourage it. Consultations are always complementary and I am happy to discuss any of your thoughts or concerns.
+ What happens during the consultation?
I access your hair texture and type and we talk about what you want to achieve. Pictures are great if you have them, they don’t have to be the full look, they can be parts of the look you want. (ie you can have one that has the color, one that has the way you want the highlights and one that has the cut). If you’re into Pinterest and you feel inspired, you can always make a board and share it with me. I will ask you questions and come up with a game-plan of how best to achieve your goal in a realistic way while keep the integrity of your hair.
+ What kind of haircuts do you offer?
I specialize in color for all hair lengths, but I also do styled cuts for long/medium hair and one length cuts. I do not do short cuts or precision cuts.
+ Why is dusting or a trim the same price as a cut if you are only cutting off so little?
No matter how much you want to take off the length, the process is the same. I still have to section the hair the same way no matter how much comes off the ends.
+ What is the difference between babylights and highlights?
Highlights are more spaced out and dimensional whereas baby lights are very small, thin sections, closer together to create a more blended, natural look. Babylights are priced higher because they take more time and more product. They are a good choice for fine hair or if you want very subtle, natural looking highlights.
+ I thought hair was dead, what exactly are we celebrating?
While the only technically living part of hair is the follicle, hair is still matter and has energy. On a spiritual level, it is our connection to spirit and to our higher truth and wisdom. On a physical level it protects our electromagnetic field, keeps us warm, and alerts us to dangers. + What is a New Moon Cut? How often should I have it?
Check out our article all about the story and science behind New Moon Cuts. For best results, I typically recommend in the beginning starting with every other new moon for the first two cuts. Then, once your hair gets stabilized and is growing faster, you can move to once every 3rd or as needed.
+ Why do you charge extra for New Moon Cuts?
New Moon Cuts are extra because they are in high demand with a limited window of time to perform them. We only do New Moon Cuts on the exact day of the new moon or the two days following for it to be most effective.
+ Why do add on’s cost less than a la carte?
With a la carte services I factor in expenses differently. With add-on’s I am already there so the expenses do not need to overlap.
+ Why do you charge more for long/thick hair?
Long/thick hair uses more product and takes more time to apply.
+ Can you cut my child’s hair while you’re doing mine?
Yes! I do this all the time, this is the beauty of having me come to your home. The kids don’t have to wait around at a salon for you, and I’m already there so I can give them a trim while you are processing or after we’re done. Kids are already home so they aren’t antsy and after watching Mom get her hair worked on, they are more psyched for a cut. It’s a win-win for all!
- under 10 = $40
- ages 10-14 = $50
- over 14 is considered a regular cut and charged as such.
+ Is it ok that I have pets in my home during my appointment?
Of course, I love animals! No need to worry. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friends!
Logistics
+ Where do you service?

+ Cancellation Policy
We ask that if you do need to cancel or reschedule that you kindly give at least 24 hours notice unless there is an illness. Anything under 24 hours is as follows:
- First time: we let it slide, stuff comes up!
- Second time: $50 fee
- Third or more times: half the cost of would-be services
+ Why may some of the prices be more than indicated on the price list?
The price list is a general guideline as it is hard to be exact when it comes to creative, customized color since each person’s hair and goals are so unique. Root touch-ups are the only exception to this and generally are always the price reflected. Prices may be slightly higher for long and/or especially thicker hair because of the extended time and amount of extra product that is needed. For exact pricing please contact me to schedule a consultation. Consultations are free for all new clients. Since I am a traveling colorist, I do not travel with or keep every color in stock and may need to order a specific color in order to provide you with the best possible service. Consultations can be done in person or over the phone and typically take up to 15 minutes. This ensures that I have the colors I need for your individually customized formula prior to our appointment.
+ Do you accept tips?
Gratuity is not expected but always appreciated :)
+ Do you sell Oway or O&W products?
Yes! I highly encourage everyone to invest in organic products. It only makes sense, as you have invested time and money into your hair color it is important to maintain the color using the right products at home. You can order directly from this site in the shop tab. It is an affiliate link, so I will receive a small commission from each sale that goes directly back into providing you with exceptional service.
+ Do you do any other services other than what is on the price list?
Yes! For all other color services, including fashion colors, color correction and platinum double process, please contact me to inquire about pricing.
+ Scheduling my time slot
While we make sure to factor in travel time between appointments, things sometimes happen. Color takes longer than expected or roads are closed, ya know, life. We ask that you be semi-flexible with timing, leaving a 10-15 minute window on either side of said appointment time. I will, of course, update you of timing.

HAIR PRIESTESS HEALING SESSIONS
+ What is Reiki?
Great question! We have a whole blog post about out here :)
+ What should I expect during a session?
Before the session, we will sit down and discuss any physical or emotional challenges you may be experiencing. During a session, the person receiving healing lays face up on a massage table fully clothed with a blanket or light sheet covering them if they so choose. The goal is to be as comfortable as possible. We have discussed beforehand the areas of concern that we want to focus on and take those intentions into the session while also being open to universal guidance. Your job is to simply close your eyes and be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Some people fall asleep. Some people go into a meditative state. Some receive messages, and others are completely aware and cognizant during the entire session. It is different for everyone and each session may be different each time. The main focus is to be open to receiving the healing energy and to trust that whatever healing you need you will receive in the way or ways that you need it.
While you are lying down with your eyes closed, I put my hands over certain areas throughout your body, usually starting with the head, but going to wherever the energy is guiding me. During the session I meditate and direct the flow of energy into the centers that need it using my training, intuition and guidance from spirit. Sometimes I will be guided to incorporate other methods of healing during a session such as crystals, feathers, rattles, or other types of sound.
The best way to go into a healing session is with no expectations. Everyone’s experience is different so try to be open to whatever comes. Regardless of your experience on the physical plane, everyone gets the healing that is meant for them at the time.
+ How to prepare to get the most out of your session?
- Dress comfortably (no tight, restrictive clothing. Yoga/gym clothes are the best)
- Try not to eat 2-3 hours prior, but if you need to eat just have a light snack.
- No alcohol or recreational drugs at least 24 hours prior.
- A lot of people get benefits from eating a clean diet beforehand but it is absolutely not necessary. If interested, avoid meat, dairy, and processed sugar day of or 72 hours prior.
- Prior to the session, you may want to meditate on your intentions and what you hope to get out of your session. Then release them into the universe and be open to whatever comes.
- It is best to go into a session with no expectations, surrendering to universal guidance and trusting that you will get what you need out of the session.
+ Why is a full reiki session $100 and a 30 minute add on $35?
The cost of the full reiki session includes travel, time for set up/breakdown, and the labor of traveling with more materials (ie a bulky table) while the reiki in the chair doesn’t require as much set up and I am already there. I try to make my healing sessions as affordable as possible so that everyone has access to healing.
+ Do I have to do reiki and color together?
Nope! I offer both services separately as well.

PRODUCTS
+ What products do you use?
Oway, which stands for Organic Way, is an organic color and product line made in Italy. Each product is formulated using the most advanced green chemistry. Every ingredient in Oway is either grown sustainably on their farm in Bologna or gathered from fair trade and sustainable sources. All ingredients are free of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and synthetic fertilizers. They even go so far as to use donkeys rather than tractors to avoid polluting the air and soil around the plants. The plants and herbs are harvested in their balsamic (dark moon phase) period and they are then distilled locally in steam current where they are transformed into essential oils, hydrolates and extracts using traditional, natural methods without the use of synthetic solvents. They combine organic and biodynamic raw materials with carefully selected natural ingredients, like pure oils, waxes, butters and emollient plants, and the purest and most sustainable active and functional ingredients. This results in the most organic and pure hair products on the market, that actually work.
Although we primarily use Organic Way color brand and products, we sometimes use another high vibe color line called Original Mineral. OWAY tends to run on the warmer side and for clients who do not want to see ANY warmth it is usually necessary to use Original and Mineral. O&M is totally comparable to Oway but uses less plant botanicals. O&M is still entirely PPD, ammonia, and resorcinol free. They’re also PETA cruelty-free certified use organic ingredients when available. While they don’t go as far as Oway, like growing their own plants on a farm in Italy, O&M is still just as safe and achieves amazing results.
+ How much time does it take for the color to process?
It depends on a number of different factors.
- Root touch-ups almost always process for 35 minutes, unless you have resistant grays then we would add an extra 5-10 minutes for processing.
- Glazes typically process anywhere from 20-35 minutes
- Blonding processes anywhere from 30-50 minutes after application and usually comes out at different times, in different sections as we work around the head.
+ Is the color messy?
Not typically. I will put a towel on my workspace to protect the counter/table just in case. If you are concerned with any other area, such as the floor, we can definitely put a towel down. Just let me know!
+ How do we rinse out the color?
This is sometimes the tricky part, but we have fun and get creative! Usually, we will rinse the color out in the kitchen sink. Some clients prefer to just jump in the shower. It’s totally your preference, either way works great!
+ What do we do while the color is processing?
The most down time is root touch ups and glazes. If you are getting a root touch up or glaze, you can choose to add 30 minutes of reiki while the color is processing. Other than that, if you have work to do, emails to check, or just stuff around the house you need to do I’m totally fine entertaining myself! That’s the beauty of being at your own home: you can do whatever it is you need. This is your time, so honor yourself. I also have clients that ask me to teach various meditations that I think might benefit you. Or usually we just chat about life :)
+ Do I need to supply extra towels?
Nope! I bring all the supplies, including towels, but it can never hurt to have extra.
+ Do I need shampoo and conditioner?
Nope! I provide all styling products, and all color services come with an organic pH balancing shampoo and hair mask.
